The IDEAL programme in Somaliland builds upon previous experience in Berbera District for the creation, strengthening and duplication of local economic development (LED) forums in Baligubadle, Las Anod and Zeila that aim to bring together local government, the private sector and communities. These inclusive platforms will benefit the local economy in those areas with potential, such as the salt industry in Zeila or agriculture in Baligubadle.
