Alexandre Dossou (here), President of the DEALS Focal Team and Aimé Medenou (here), Head of the technical department of the Sèmè-Podji town hall & Rapporteur of the DEALS focal team, both tells us more about the ways in which the town hall adapted and provided services at the wake of the crisis. François Sokenou (here) offers a Sèmè-Podji resident perspective on the interventions of the DEALS project in his neighborhood both regarding waste management, and the Covid-19 crisis.
Sèmè-Podji, a town in Southern Benin home to more than 220,000 inhabitants, was one of the towns most impacted by the Covid-19 crisis nationally. With the help of the DEALS project, the town hall was able to equip itself and some schools with masks, hand gels and hand-washing facilities, alongside the project’s activities in waste management.
