Last 8 October 2021, the advisory committee of the Governance of Inclusive Green Growth in Cities (DEALS) programme took place. An update was given on the COVID-19 situation in the various cities. Furthermore an in-depth presentation was given on the programme in Sèmè-Podji, Benin. The members discussed and agreed that the creation of a solid and household waste management company in Sèmè-Podji signifies a major change for the local waste market. The Pathein project team presented their completely shifted plans for end 2021 and 2022 and the member of the committee recognized that the objectives and strategy of the project in Pathein have to be changed, only then you can report successes.
