New Regional clusters and new Regional Managers

As of 1st of July, VNG International will be organized in 4 regional clusters:

• East and Southern Africa
• Central and West Africa
• Middle East and North Africa
• Europe, Asia and Latin America

As regional managers have been appointed: Karim Boussak, Chloé Krantz, Neila Akrimi and Judith Geerling, respectively.

Changes at MT level

Rolf Swart, manager of the former business unit Asia, Sub-Sahara Africa and Latin America, is now the overall Manager Business Development. Arthur Wiggers, who has been Deputy Director since the start of VNG International 22 years ago, and who was also interim manager of the former business unit Middle East and North Africa, will remain as Special Advisor till his retirement at the end of the year. Renske Steenbergen will take over Arthur’s position as Deputy Director. She comes over from the VNG and has worked for several years for VNG International before and also for UCLG.

New structure and new leadership now complete

The changes in the organization have now been completed. They started with the handing over, in May, of the position of Director, from Peter Knip to Pieter Jeroense. Peter had been director of VNG International for 22 years. In those years, VNG International has grown substantially and it was time to adjust the structure accordingly. We look forward to working with you as before!
